Kinky Event Review: Thirst in London

Let me get one thing out of the way first. I’m fucking rubbish at reviewing things!

Seriously.

I remember years ago on Play.com (God I miss that site… free shipping on all products) you could review the site’s various wares. Much like you can on every ecommerce site ever but back then it felt like a bit of a new novelty. I wrote out a review for some comedy film and my insightful, thought provoking screed was littered with phrases like:

“It very funny”

“I like bit where the man tell joke”

“The end bit good”

Maybe it wasn’t quite that bad but that’s how it came across when I read it back to myself.

Bear with me here… I’m going to do my absolute best to review Thirst.

Here goes.

What’s Thirst like?

As a kink night, it’s more of a social mixed with a club event. It’s held at Electrowerks in Islington, London and starts at 8pm until 2am.

There wasn’t a dungeon or a play area. So it’s not quite a fetish club but if you want to dress up then you can. If you want to wear your normal clothes then that’s perfectly ok too.

Since the venue is quite spacious, it’s pretty easy to chat to people. Making it a great way to meet fellow kinksters.

In the separate section, there were some kinky performances. The night was wedding themed and we were treated to a lady being spanked to music, with various implements. Culminating in a whacking with a bouquet of flowers. It was fun to watch and added to the humorous vibe of the event.

What’s The Vibe Like?

Definitely a kink crowd. Quite a few people dressed up in fetish clothes. I was more impressed by the fact that many people dressed for the wedding theme. Lot’s of suave suits and pretty bridal gowns.

Once the performances were done, the other section became an area where you can dance if you want to. You can leave your friends behind or you can also sit the other part and have a perfectly good natter.

Kinky Conclusion:

That was tough! I had to really fight the temptation to write: “Thirst was good it were”.

I think I’ve given you an overview of the event.

If you are interested in meeting kinky people but having a fun, club night at the same time, then this is the event for you.

I will definitely go back again. If you go, let me know how it went. (You can always leave a comment or email me ‘hello’ at ‘proudtobekinky.com’)

If you want to read more about Thirst, you can read fellow kink blogger Kinky Tiger’s post about the event right here. (She’s much better at reviewing events than I am!)

If you want go to Thirst… then you can see the next event on their Twitter page which can be found right here.

Cheers!
