Five Very Easy Kinky Rope Ties You Can Learn Right NOW

Have you ever wanted to do some rope but didn’t really know where to start?

Want to tie up your gorgeous partner? Want your gorgeous partner to tie you up?

What about a good old self-indulgent wank?

Well you can start right here.

Don’t worry too much about the types of rope for now. If you take things beyond these five ties then you can treat yourself to some nice shibari rope.

We’re getting ahead of ourselves here.

Here are my top five super easy ties and exactly where you can find some tutorials online.

So you have no excuse!

1 – The Rope Corset

Ok, so you’re not exactly tying someone up with this one. This is more for a constricting sensation. That aside, it does look very pretty!

You’re going to need quite a bit of rope for this one.

Take a good length of rope, bring the two ends together so you’ve got two strips of rope. Then do a bit of lasso round your partner’s waist, turn the rope back again. Go all the way round, back to the front, thread the rope through the previous rung and then…

Ok.. I’m waffling. Wouldn’t it be great if someone had already made a video explaining exactly how to do this…

Oh they have!

Here is a link to a video on YouTube where they explain it much better than I am.

2 – The Zip Snare

This one is slightly trickier than the corset. But I know you can do it!

You use the rope to make a thick hoop which can go round a wrist or ankle. Much more conducive to a kinky scene.

The clever little feature of this tie is that it can’t be tightened by a person being tied. They can writhe and pull and it won’t loosen or tighten.

Rather than me explain it all. Here’s a link to a classic video from The Two Knotty Boys.

Obviously this video is a good few years old now. Yes, it looks a bit dated but it is a succinct little video with very clear instructions on how to do this tie.

3 – Arm Gauntlets

Easy, easy, easy!

This one is EASY!

It’s exactly the same as the corset tie, just up the arms!

Once again, we can thank the Two Knotty Boys for this one. Here is a link to another one of their fine tutorials.

Much like the corset tie, it might not offer much in the way of kinky utility. In other words, it’s not used to restrain. This one more about the kink aesthetics which can be just as important.

Two Knotty Boys: Arm Gauntlet

Proving the versatility of the Rope Corset, a Rope Gauntlet is simply rope corsetry tied upon the forearm. Still, as far as decorative Ties go, Rope Gauntle…

4 – Futomomo

As you can probably tell by the name, this one is part of the Japanese styles of rope.

It’s quite simple as you just bend the leg up so the ankle is touching just below your bum and then you wrap some rope around.

There is the proper shibari way of doing it. Which you can learn right here.

Futomomo for Beginners

In this video, I share a very basic leg bind found in Shibari called a futomomo. Translated into Japanese, futomomo means ‘fat leg’ for the way the leg looks…

But if you’re just starting out then this is an easy tie to improvise. Remember, ankle up to the bum and wrap, wrap, wrap!

5 – The Flogger Cuffs

I’ll be honest with you here. This one is a bit harder than all the others. It’s definitely worth learning.

You make some cuffs out of rope that go around the whole hand.

With this tie, you can tie someone’s arms up to a hard point. Because the part connected above the head comes from the palm and not the wrist, this stops the circulation getting cut off.

Once again, let’s hand over to another classic video from the Two Knotty Boys. Here’s another one of their videos explaining how to do the Flogger Cuffs.

Time for you to kink it up!

How did it go? Did you try any of these ties?

If any of the links are dead then I do apologise. Just try searching for the name of the tie, I’m sure you’ll be able to find it.

Let me know how it went in the comments or you can always email. ‘Hello’ at name of this site dotcom.
